Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Gahr Gladiators (Cerritos, CA) and the host Paramount Pirates (Paramount, CA), saw Gahr's basketball squad hold off Paramount by a score of 49-43.

With the victory, Gahr improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Gladiators host Downey (Downey, CA) to play the Vikings in a challenge on Wednesday, February 1. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 2-1.
