The New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) softball routed the visiting Lewisburg Patriots (Olive Branch, MS), 7-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Trojans (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against Poplarville (Poplarville, MS). The Hornets go into the non-league bout with a 4-6 record. In their last bout, Poplarville was routed by Enterprise (Enterprise, MS), 2-1, in a non-league bout.
