The New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Lockney Longhorns (Lockney, TX), 66-36 in Tuesday's league test.

The Lions (13-11) will now prepare for their test against Crosbyton (Crosbyton, TX). The Chiefs go into the 1A-1 Region I District 4 test with a 10-2 record. In their last test, Crosbyton was trounced by Hale Center (Hale Center, TX), 41-31, in a league test.

The Longhorns now own a 2-19 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ralls for a 1A-1 Region I District 4 test on Friday, February 11.
