In Thursday's league contest, the New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN), by a margin of 9-1.

With the triumph, New Ulm moves its record to 8-0 on the year. The Eagles travel to Mankato West (Mankato, MN) to play the Scarlets in a non-league contest on Friday, May 11. The Scarlets come into the contest with a record of 4-6. Mankato West lost 12-5 in their recent league contest against Owatonna (Owatonna, MN)

In their next game, the Bluejays play the St. Peter Saints (St. Peter, MN) in a South Central contest, on Tuesday, May 15. Waseca will attempt to move on its 2-6 season record.
