Union Wildcats (Union, MO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Northwest Lions (House Springs, MO), 46-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Union upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Silex (Silex, MO) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Monday, January 19. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Silex lost 45-25 in their recent league bout against Clopton (Clarksville, MO)

Next up, the Lions play the Marquette Mustangs (Chesterfield, MO) in a Suburban - West bout, on Wednesday, January 21. Northwest will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 60-43 league loss to Oakville (St. Louis, MO).
