Florida High School Volleyball - Clay crushed by Nease
September 10, 2009: Ponte Vedra, FL 32095 The Nease Panthers topped the visiting Clay Blue Devils volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's league test.
The Panthers now have a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Providence for a non-league test on Saturday, September 12. Nease will confront a Stallions team coming off a 3-0 league win over University Christian (Jacksonville, FL). The Stallions record now stands at 2-0.
The Blue Devils (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Bishop Snyder (Jacksonville, FL). The Cardinals enter the non-league test with a 1-1 record.
Match Summary
Jordan Cangelosi lead the way with 18 kills, 11 points and Cheyenne Tiffany was hot on the service line setting the tone in the first set with 12 straight service points. She finished with 22 service points and 6 aces. Holland Hoefnagel had a solid performance 12 kills, 11 digs and Kamryn Sherman put up a double-double 40 assist, 10 digs. Mariah McCallum lead with digs 14, and Taylor Permenter added seven kills.
