The Loyd Star Hornets basketball team (Brookhaven, MS), was nudged 67-62 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS)

The Cobras now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Lincoln for a non-league battle on Friday, December 16. Wesson will battle a Bears team coming off a 50-48 non-league win over Franklin County (Meadville, MS). The Bears record now stands at 6-6.

The Hornets (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Wesson (Wesson, MS). The Cobras come into the non-league battle with a 6-3 record.
