Georgia High School Basketball - Walton thwarts Johns Creek
December 3, 2016: Johns Creek, GA 30022 The Walton Raiders (Marietta, GA) basketball knocked off the host Johns Creek Gladiators (Johns Creek, GA), 70-62 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Raiders (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Cherokee (Canton, GA). The Warriors go into the AAAAAAA Region 4 test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Cherokee notched a victory over Creekview (Canton, GA), 54-51, in a non-league test.
The Gladiators now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Centennial for a AAAAAA Region 7 test on Tuesday, December 6. Johns Creek will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 54-49 non-league loss to West Forsyth (Cumming, GA). The Knights record now stands at 1-4.
