In Friday's league game, the Western Alamance Warriors (Elon, NC) football team knocked off the visiting Eastern Guilford Wildcats (Gibsonville, NC), by a final score of 28-3.

The Warriors (7-2) will now prepare for their game against McMichael (Mayodan, NC). The Phoenix come into the 3A Mid-State game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, McMichael was dropped by Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC), 44-13, in a league game.

The Wildcats now hold a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Williams for a 3A Mid-State game on Friday, October 21. Eastern Guilford will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 28-7 league win over Morehead (Eden, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-4.
