Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays (Ashland, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE), 45-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ashland-Greenwood upgrades its record to 1-8 on the season. The Bluejays host Fort Calhoun (Fort Calhoun, NE) to clash with the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 10. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Fort Calhoun lost 66-59 in their recent non-league bout against Tekamah-Herman (Tekamah, NE)
