Center Roughriders (Center, TX) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX), 59-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Center upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Roughriders travel to Huntington (Huntington, TX) to play the Red Devils in a 3A Region III District 18 bout on Tuesday, January 4. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 4-5.

Next up, the Dragons play the Alief Elsik Rams (Houston, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 29. Nacogdoches will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 94-42 non-league win over Diboll (Diboll, TX).
