Texas High School Basketball - Stamford prevails Abilene Hawks
December 14, 2010: Stamford, TX 79553 Stamford Bulldogs (Stamford, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Abilene Hawks Hawks (Abilene, TX), 73-62 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Stamford upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Miles (Miles, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 17. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-2.
Next up, the Hawks play the Albany Lions (Albany, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 17. Abilene Hawks will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 46-45 non-league win over Roscoe (Roscoe, TX).
First Quarter
Jessir Ramos and Hagen Hutchinson both added five points. Chris Martin scored three points to end the quarter.
Second Quarter
Jessie Ramos scored seven points in the second qt. Hagen Hutchinson scored six points. Landon stanley added four more points. Chico Acosta Chris martin and Mickey Villaneva added two points to end the qt.
Third Quarter
Hagen Hutchinson scored seven points in the third period. Chico Acosta added four points and Jessie Ramos and Mickey Villaneva, Landon Stanley all added two more points.
Fourth Quarter
Jessie Ramos scored six points hagen Hutchinson added four points. Chris Martin, Austin Alvarado Mickey Villaneva and Shilo Solis all added two points. Cameron McDonald and Joe Gonzales finished the scoring with one point.
