Mississippi High School Basketball - Quitman over West Lauderdale
January 26, 2018: Collinsville, MS 39325 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS) and the host West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS), saw Quitman's basketball squad overcome West Lauderdale by a tally of 50-37.
With the victory, Quitman improves its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Panthers host Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS) to confront the Trojans in a 4A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Northeast Lauderdale won 61-52 in their recent league challenge against Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS)
Next up, the Knights confront the Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) in a 4A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. West Lauderdale will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 14-7 record after their 67-56 non-league loss to Ingomar (New Albany, MS).
