California High School Softball - Bishop Diego nudges Hueneme
March 18, 2010: Santa Barbara, CA 93110 Bishop Diego Cardinals (Santa Barbara, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hueneme Vikings (Oxnard, CA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grace Brethren for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 20. Bishop Diego will battle a Lancers squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Santa Ynez (Santa Ynez, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Hueneme falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Channel Islands (Oxnard, CA) to battle the Raiders in a Pacific View game on Friday, March 19. The Raiders come into the game with a record of 0-3. Channel Islands lost 14-1 in their recent non-league game against Nordhoff (Ojai, CA)
