The Franklin Grizzly Cubs (Franklin, IN) basketball felled the visiting Shelbyville Golden Bears (Shelbyville, IN), 59-44 in Saturday's non-league contest.

The Grizzly Cubs now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brown County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 27. Franklin will confront a Eagles team coming off a 61-52 league win over West Vigo (West Terre Haute, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 2-4.

The Golden Bears (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Yorktown (Yorktown, IN). The Tigers enter the Hoosier Heritage contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Yorktown ran past Southside (Muncie, IN), 57-36, in a non-league contest.
