Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS) and the visiting Palmer Dragons (Marks, MS), saw Independence's basketball squad overcome Palmer by a tally of 66-54.

With the victory, Independence improves its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 23. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Horn Lake won 67-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Grenada (Grenada, MS)

Next up, the Dragons confront the Rosa Fort Lions (Tunica, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 23. Palmer will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record.
