In Friday's league outing, the Rowlett Eagles (Rowlett, TX) basketball squad edged the host Sachse Mustangs (Sachse, TX), by a count of 67-62.

The Eagles (13-7) will now prepare for their outing against South Garland (Garland, TX). The Colonels go into the 5A Region II District 11 outing with a 4-7 record.

The Mustangs now have a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Garland for a 5A Region II District 11 game on Wednesday, January 2. Sachse will face a Owls team coming off a 71-30 league loss to Rowlett (Rowlett, TX). The Owls record now stands at 1-11.
