The Paul VI Panthers (Fairfax, VA) basketball nipped the host St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC), 61-56 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers (21-2) will now prepare for their test against Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC). The Lions go into the Washington Catholic test with a 5-17 record.
The Cadets now own a 19-2 record. They play next when they travel to Archbishop Carroll for a Washington Catholic test on Saturday, February 3. St. John's will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 81-25 league loss to Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The Lions record now stands at 5-16.
