In Friday's league match, the host Grant Tigers football squad scored a close 14-8 victory over the Tri County Area Vikings.

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Fremont Packers (Fremont, MI) in a Central State - Gold match, on Friday, September 28. Grant will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Packers enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 55-7 league loss to Newaygo (Newaygo, MI).

The Vikings (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Newaygo (Newaygo, MI). The Lions enter the Central State - Gold match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Newaygo held off Fremont (Fremont, MI), 55-7, in a league match.
