Louisiana High School Basketball - Ponchatoula overwhelms St. Paul
January 19, 2010: Ponchatoula, LA 70454 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) and the visiting St. Paul Wolves (Covington, LA), saw Ponchatoula's basketball squad trounce St. Paul by a score of 59-33.
With the victory, Ponchatoula improves its record to 11-10 on the campaign. The Green Wave travel to Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA) to play the Bulldogs in a 5A District 7 challenge on Friday, January 22. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 13-9. Fontainebleau lost 71-54 in their recent league challenge against Slidell (Slidell, LA)
Next up, the Wolves play the Covington Lions (Covington, LA) in a 5A District 7 challenge, on Friday, January 22. St. Paul will attempt to improve on its 6-16 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 70-63 league loss to Hammond (Hammond, LA).
