North Carolina High School Basketball - Jordan can't hold off New Bern
December 28, 2009: New Bern, NC 28562 The New Bern Bears basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting Jordan Falcons to 62 in the Bears non-league victory on Monday.
The Bears now sport a 8-2 record. They play next when they host New Hanover for a 4A Conference 1 contest on Tuesday, January 5. New Bern will meet a team coming off a 60-52 non-league loss to North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The record now stands at 5-2.
The Falcons (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hillside (Durham, NC). The Hornets come into the 4A Conference 5 contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Hillside was nudged by Halifax County (South Boston, VA), 57-51, in a non-league contest.
