Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Seagraves Eagles (Seagraves, TX) and the visiting Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX), saw Seagraves's basketball squad hold off Olton by a tally of 74-73.

With the victory, Seagraves improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Grady (Lenorah, TX) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 31. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-1.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Muleshoe Mules (Muleshoe, TX) in a 2A Region I District 2 test, on Friday, December 20. Olton will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record. The Mules go into the test with a 1-3 record after their 69-48 non-league loss to Littlefield (Littlefield, TX).
