In Friday's league match, the host Central Cabarrus Vikings basketball team scored a decisive 73-49 triumph over the Cox Mill Chargers.

In their next game, the Vikings meet the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 3A match, on Tuesday, December 20. Central Cabarrus will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 3-6 record after their 52-29 league loss to Jay M. Robinson (Concord, NC).

With the defeat, Cox Mill moves to 5-4 on the year. The Chargers travel to Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to meet the Ragin' Bulls in a Southern Piedmont 3A match on Monday, December 19.
