West Virginia High School Football - Elkins sneaks past Fairmont
October 14, 2011: Elkins, WV 26241 The Elkins Tigers football squad scored 21 points and restricted the visiting Fairmont Polar Bears to 20 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.
The Tigers now possess a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lewis County for a Big Ten battle on Friday, October 21. Elkins will face a Minutemen squad coming off a 20-6 league loss to North Marion (Farmington, WV). The Minutemen record now stands at 4-4.
Coming up next, the Polar Bears face the Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 21. Fairmont will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 4-3 record after their 61-30 non-league win over Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV).
