In Friday's league outing, the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) basketball squad felled the host Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT), by a margin of 67-59.

The Panthers (14-3) will now prepare for their outing against New Milford (New Milford, CT). The Green Wave go into the Southwest outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, New Milford thwarted Immaculate (Danbury, CT), 66-45, in a league outing.
