The North Branford Thunderbirds basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Cromwell Panthers to 54 in the Thunderbirds league victory on Monday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Portland for a Shoreline contest on Tuesday, January 16.

The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT). The Blue Devils come into the Shoreline contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Coginchaug Regional was nudged by Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT), 51-44, in a league contest.
