The Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC) football edged the host Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD), 24-17 in Saturday's league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Archbishop Carroll Lions (Washington, DC) in a Washington Catholic bout, on Saturday, October 6. Gonzaga will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Lions enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 50-0 league loss to St. John's (Washington, DC).
