Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the New Braunfels Unicorns (New Braunfels, TX) and the host Vanguard College Prep Vikings (Waco, TX), saw New Braunfels's basketball squad overcome Vanguard College Prep by a tally of 50-40.

With the victory, New Braunfels improves its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Unicorns travel to Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 30. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Cypress Ranch won 64-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Round Rock (Round Rock, TX)

Next up, the Vikings play the Burton Adventist Academy Angels (Arlington, TX) in a TAPPS 3A District 2 challenge, on Thursday, January 7. Vanguard College Prep will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record.
