Indiana High School Basketball - Monroe Central nips Yorktown

Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Yorktown Tigers (Yorktown, IN), 47-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monroe Central upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Golden Bears host Lapel (Lapel, IN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 4-3.

Next up, the Tigers play the Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage bout, on Saturday, December 9. Yorktown will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Marauders go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 56-50 non-league loss to Anderson (Anderson, IN).
