The Mt. Pleasant Tigers basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Hughes Lions to 45 in the Tigers non-league victory on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 6-13 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Fe for a A District 11 contest on Tuesday, February 16. Mt. Pleasant will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 51-41 non-league loss to Fairview (Fairview, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-8.

The Lions (0-20) will now prepare for their contest against Perry County (Linden, TN). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 12-14 record. In their last contest, Perry County was defeated by Hickman County (Centerville, TN), 57-52, in a non-league contest.
