Louisiana High School Basketball - Ponchatoula overwhelms Fontainebleau

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) and the visiting Fontainebleau Bulldogs (Mandeville, LA), saw Ponchatoula's basketball squad trounce Fontainebleau by a score of 59-22.

With the victory, Ponchatoula improves its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Green Wave travel to Covington (Covington, LA) to battle the Lions in a 5A District 6 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Covington won 52-50 in their recent league challenge against Slidell (Slidell, LA)

Next up, the Bulldogs battle the Northshore Panthers (Slidell, LA) in a 5A District 6 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Fontainebleau will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 51-21 non-league win over Chalmette (Chalmette, LA).
