Minnesota High School Basketball - Washburn fells Academy of Holy Angels
December 9, 2017: Richfield, MN 55423 Washburn Millers (Minneapolis, MN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Academy of Holy Angels Stars (Richfield, MN), 68-53 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Washburn upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Millers travel to Richfield (Richfield, MN) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Richfield lost 95-64 in their recent non-league bout against St. Thomas Academy (Mendota Heights, MN)
Next up, the Stars clash with the Kennedy Eagles (Bloomington, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Academy of Holy Angels will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 76-53 non-league loss to White Bear Lake (White Bear Lake, MN).
