Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Berks Catholic trounces Wyomissing
January 7, 2013: Wyomissing, PA 19610 The Berks Catholic Saints (Reading, PA) basketball crushed the host Wyomissing Spartans (Wyomissing, PA), 58-35 in Monday's non-league test.
The Saints (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Hamburg (Hamburg, PA). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 2-8 record. In their last test, Hamburg was trounced by Pottsville (Pottsville, PA), 57-25, in a non-league test.
The Spartans now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brandywine Heights Area for a Berks County 3 test on Tuesday, January 8. Wyomissing will clash with a Bullets squad coming off a 58-52 non-league win over Hamburg (Hamburg, PA). The Bullets record now stands at 3-5.
Fourth Quarter
At Wyomissing, big men Nana Foulland and Connor Jack dominated inside, combining for 27 points and 28 rebounds, as the Saints (7-3) rolled over the Spartans (6-3) in a non-league game.
Chris Warren, with 12 points, and Mike Miller, with 11, also reached double figures for Berks Catholic, which hit 8-of-9 shots during one stretch of the third quarter to pull away.
