The Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Axtell Longhorns (Axtell, TX), 38-35 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Yellowjackets (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Huckabay (Stephenville, TX). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, Huckabay was tipped by Axtell (Axtell, TX), 47-18, in a non-league test.
