The Canyon Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Dumas Demons to 42 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 14-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hereford for a 5A Region I District 3 contest on Tuesday, January 12. Canyon will meet a Whitefaces team coming off a 78-66 league win over Randall (Amarillo, TX). The Whitefaces record now stands at 16-3.

The Demons (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX). The Dons enter the 5A Region I District 3 contest with a 5-8 record.
