Missouri High School Basketball - Purdy nips Southwest

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Purdy Eagles (Purdy, MO) and the host Southwest Trojans (Washburn, MO), saw Purdy's basketball squad hold off Southwest by a score of 56-49.

With the victory, Purdy improves its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to McAuley Catholic (Joplin, MO) to battle the Warriors in a Ozark 7 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 0-6.

Next up, the Trojans battle the Galena Bears (Galena, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. Southwest will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 63-40 league win over Billings (Billings, MO).
