California High School Football - Alvarez topped by North Monterey County
September 23, 2011: Salinas, CA 93906 The Alvarez Eagles football team (Salinas, CA), was beaten 21-8 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting North Monterey County Condors (Castroville, CA)
The Condors (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Watsonville (Watsonville, CA). The Wildcatz come into the Monterey Bay challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Watsonville was beaten by San Lorenzo Valley (Felton, CA), 41-21, in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Monte Vista Christian for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 30. Alvarez will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 34-7 non-league win over Soquel (Soquel, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-0.
