Virginia High School Basketball - Nansemond River overwhelmed by Myrtle Beach
December 20, 2010: Suffolk, VA 23434 The Myrtle Beach Seahawks basketball team scored 75 points and restricted the host Nansemond River Warriors to 44 in the Seahawks non-league victory on Monday.
The Seahawks now sport a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Wesleyan for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 21. Myrtle Beach will meet a team coming off a 94-45 non-league win over Marion (Marion, SC). The record now stands at 9-0.
The Warriors (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA). The Bruins come into the AAA Southeastern contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Western Branch trounced King's Fork (Suffolk, VA), 64-51, in a league contest.
