In Friday's non-league match, the host Downey Vikings football squad scored a good 35-7 victory over the Whittier Cardinals.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Cathedral Phantoms (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, November 20. Downey will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Phantoms enter the match with a 10-1 record after their 58-19 non-league win over Crescenta Valley (La Crescenta, CA).
