Texas High School Basketball - Lanier nips Estacado
December 10, 2016: San Antonio, TX 78207 Lanier Voks (San Antonio, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX), 67-63 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Lanier upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Voks travel to Highlands (San Antonio, TX) to play the Owls in a 5A Region IV District 28 bout on Friday, December 16. The Owls come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Highlands lost 45-31 in their recent non-league bout against South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)
Next up, the Matadors play the Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Estacado will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Plainsmen come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 75-56 non-league loss to Plainview (Plainview, TX).
