Canton Golden Bears (Canton, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Potsdam Sandstoners (Potsdam, NY), 73-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Canton upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Golden Bears travel to Franklin Academy (Malone, NY) to play the Huskies in a Section 10 Central bout on Monday, January 29. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 5-1.

Next up, the Sandstoners play the Hermon-DeKalb Central Demons (DeKalb Junction, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Potsdam will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record.
