Oklahoma High School Basketball - Bishop McGuinness holds off Guthrie
January 6, 2012: Oklahoma City, OK 73118 Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish (Oklahoma City, OK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Guthrie Bluejays (Guthrie, OK), 54-50 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Bishop McGuinness upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Fighting Irish travel to Norman (Norman, OK) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 9-4. Norman won 55-40 in their recent non-league bout against Deer Creek (Edmond, OK)
Next up, the Bluejays play the Deer Creek Antlers (Edmond, OK) in a Suburban - North bout, on Saturday, January 7. Guthrie will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Antlers come into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 55-40 non-league loss to Norman (Norman, OK).
