October 6, 2011: Greensboro, NC 27408 The Grimsley Whirlies tipped the visiting Southwest Guilford Cowboys soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Thursday's non-league match.
The Whirlies now hold a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Guilford for a Metro 4A match on Tuesday, October 11. Grimsley will play a Hornets squad coming off a 0-0 league Southern Alamance (Graham, NC). The Hornets record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, Southwest Guilford drops to 11-5 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to play the Vikings in a Piedmont Triad 4A match on Tuesday, October 11. The Vikings come into the match with a record of 11-2. Northwest Guilford won 9-2 in their recent league match against Glenn (Kernersville, NC)
