December 27, 2016: Coatesville, PA 19320 Coatesville Red Raiders (Coatesville, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Simon Gratz Bulldogs (Philadelphia, PA), 48-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Coatesville upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Red Raiders host St. Thomas More Academy (Magnolia, DE) to play the Raven in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Raven go into the bout with a record of 3-2. St. Thomas More Academy lost 52-50 in their recent non-league bout against Archbishop Ryan (Philadelphia, PA)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Boys' Latin Charter (Philadelphia, PA) in a Philadelphia Public B bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Simon Gratz will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 55-49 non-league win over Pennsville Memorial (Pennsville, NJ).
