Alabama High School Football - Pike County topples Luverne
September 28, 2012: Brundidge, AL 36010 The Pike County Bulldogs (Brundidge, AL) football defeated the visiting Luverne Tigers (Luverne, AL), 21-7 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Daleville Warhawks (Daleville, AL) in a 3A Region 2 bout, on Friday, October 5. Pike County will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Warhawks enter the bout with a 4-0 record after their 55-48 non-league win over Long (Skipperville, AL).
The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against Calhoun (Letohatchee, AL). The Tigers enter the 2A Region 3 bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Calhoun defeated Georgiana (Georgiana, AL), 44-22, in a non-league bout.
