Pasquotank Panthers (Elizabeth City, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), 52-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Pasquotank upgrades its record to 7-13 on the season. The Panthers travel to Currituck County (Barco, NC) to play the Knights in a 2A Conference 13 challenge on Saturday, February 15. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 6-13. Currituck County lost 64-50 in their recent league challenge against Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC)

Next up, the Aces confront the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a 2A Conference 13 challenge, on Monday, February 17. Holmes will attempt to improve on its 10-6 season record. The Nighthawks come into the challenge with a 7-13 record after their 74-46 league loss to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC).
