Texas High School Softball - Pilot Point topped by Hebron
March 3, 2012: Pilot Point, TX 76258 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Hebron Hawks (Carrollton, TX) softball team overwhelmed the host Pilot Point Bearcats (Pilot Point, TX), by a margin of 13-4.
With the triumph, Hebron moves its record to 14-3 on the year. The Hawks travel to Flower Mound (Flower Mound, TX) to play the Jaguars in a 5A Region I District 8 contest on Monday, March 5. The Jaguars come into the contest with a record of 0-1.
With the loss, Pilot Point moves to 4-11 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Prosper (Prosper, TX) to meet the Eagles in a non-league match on Monday, March 5. The Eagles go into the match with a record of 0-1.

Hebron Crushes Pilot Point 13-4, Stearns hits 4 HRs
The Hebron Hawks scored in every inning and Heather Stearns hit a homerun every time she stepped in the batter's box. She had 7 RBI in a 4-4 effort in which the Tigers pitcher couldn't seem to throw a ball by her.
Chelsea Herndon was solid in the circle for the Hawks giving up 10 hits but only 1 was extra bases and 6 strikeouts. The Tigers could only muster 4 runs on those hits.
Aside from the Stearns Air Attack, Herndon went 3 for 4, Olivia Martinez went 2 for 4 and Erinn Hill went 2 for 3 to lead the offense. Kylie Johnson and Deja Talton each had a hit in the game.
The Hawks end pre-district play with a 14-3-1 record and open district play Monday night in Flower Mound against the Jaguars at Flower Mound High School.
