Mississippi High School Basketball - West Lincoln nips Bogue Chitto
January 14, 2011: Bogue Chitto, MS 39629 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the West Lincoln Bears (Brookhaven, MS) and the host Bogue Chitto Bobcats (Bogue Chitto, MS), saw West Lincoln's basketball squad hold off Bogue Chitto by a score of 45-41.
With the victory, West Lincoln improves its record to 19-0 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Cathedral (Natchez, MS) to battle the Green Wave in a 1A Region 7 challenge on Friday, January 21. The Green Wave come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Cathedral lost 62-55 in their recent league challenge against Sebastopol (Sebastopol, MS)
Next up, the Bobcats battle the St. Aloysius Flashes (Vicksburg, MS) in a 1A Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 18. Bogue Chitto will attempt to advance on its 13-7 season record. The Flashes go into the outing with a 3-7 record after their 52-49 league win over Cathedral (Natchez, MS).
