October 3, 2016: Clayton, NC 27520 The crowd at Monday's league test between the Cleveland Rams (Clayton, NC) and the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), saw Cleveland's soccer squad get by Smithfield-Selma by a count of 2-1.
The Rams now hold a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Western Harnett for a Two Rivers 3A test on Wednesday, October 5. Cleveland will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-9.
With the loss, Smithfield-Selma drops to 4-8 on the season. The Spartans host Triton (Erwin, NC) to meet the Hawks in a Two Rivers 3A test on Wednesday, October 5. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 3-7. Triton lost 2-1 in their recent league test against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC)
