The Grand Rapids Thunderhawks basketball team scored 89 points and held the visiting Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats to 66 in the Thunderhawks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Thunderhawks now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Esko for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Grand Rapids will meet a Eskomos team coming off a 75-60 non-league loss to Columbia Heights (Columbia Heights, MN). The Eskomos record now stands at 11-1.

The Wildcats (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Rogers (Rogers, MN). The Royals enter the Mississippi 8 contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Rogers triumphed over Moorhead (Moorhead, MN), 77-63, in a non-league contest.
